Bitcoin mining company Genesis Digital Assets completes $431 million financing

On September 22, Bitcoin mining company Genesis Digital Assets announced that it has completed a strategic financing of US$431 million, led by Paradigm, with participation from NYDIG, Stoneridge, FTX, Ribbit, ElectricCapital, Skybridge and KingswayCapital. At the same time, Paradigm co-founder Matt Huang joined the board of Genesis Digital Assets. Genesis Digital Assets will use the new funds to expand its clean energy bitcoin mining business. As of September 2021, Genesis Digital Assets data center has generated more than 170 megawatts of power, with a total computing power exceeding 3.3 EH/s, and will increase by 8.6 EH/s in the next 12 months. By the end of 2023, Genesis Digital Assets is expected to generate more than 1.4 GW ( GW).
