According to CNN on Jan. 7, the Public Security Bureau of Jincheng City, Shanxi Province, said local police cracked a criminal case of money laundering using digital RMB. The special case police moved around Fujian and Guangdong provinces, arrested six suspects, identified the amount involved in hundreds of millions of yuan, and cracked more than 20 cases of telecommunication fraud involving seven provinces, including Xinjiang, Heilongjiang, Jilin, Hunan, Jiangsu, Guangdong and Shanxi, impersonating public prosecutors and law enforcement.
