Bulgarian Stock Exchange Launches 8 Bitcoin and Ether Based Exchange Traded Notes

The Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) recently launched eight Bitcoin and Ether-based exchange-traded notes (ETNs), according to Newsbitcoin on Feb. 21. Manyu Moravenov, executive director of the BSE, said the ETN will allow investors to put money into digital assets without the need to create and own crypto wallets and private keys. At the same time, they will have access to cryptocurrency instruments that meet regulatory requirements. The Bulgarian stock market body explained that the cryptocurrency-based ETN trading is a continuation of BSE’s long-standing cooperation with Deutsche Börse and market maker TradegateAG. This will ensure liquidity for cryptocurrency instruments, the announcement noted. The product is denominated in euros and is traded during normal trading hours.
