Meta is Exploring Virtual Currencies for Use in the Metaverse

Facebook’s parent company Meta has made plans to introduce virtual currencies, tokens and loan services into its apps, according to Sina Finance news on April 7. According to several people familiar with the matter, Facebook’s financial arm Metafinancial Technologies has been exploring the creation of a virtual currency for the company, known internally as “Zuckercoin”.
