BIS report: Central banks in emerging economies look to CBDC to improve payments efficiency

A report by the Bank for International Settlements (BIS) reports that payment system efficiency is the primary motivation for central banks in emerging market economies to try CBDC or consider adopting the method, Golden Finance reports. Offering a cash-like digital payment method is the most common consideration for issuing CBDBs, given the decline in cash use and the increase in private digital payment services, according to the report, which includes countries such as Brazil, Hong Kong, Mexico, South Africa and the United Arab Emirates. MicroStrategy CEO: Will buy more bitcoin in the future
