DFINITY eco-project ORIGYN to provide NFT authentication certificate for WatchBox, a luxury watch marketplace

April 29 – Swiss foundation ORIGYN has entered into a partnership with luxury watch marketplace WatchBox. The two companies will work together to produce certificates of authenticity in the form of NFTs that will enable customers to trade digital ownership of their watches. ORIGYN is said to be the largest project on the DFINITY Internet Computer Protocol (ICP). Individuals who purchase collector-grade watches through WatchBox can have their watches authenticated through ORIGYN using its biometric technology. Each watch has a unique biometric fingerprint and an NFT containing all of this information. ORIGYN’s utility NFT will be available to WatchBox consumers in the summer of 2022. (Cointelegraph)
