May 5 – The Federal Reserve FOMC statement showed that inflation is expected to return to its 2% target, the labour market will remain strong and monetary policy will be appropriately tightened; inflation remains high, reflecting epidemic-induced supply and demand imbalances, higher energy prices and broader price pressures; the impact of the Russia-Ukraine conflict on the US economy is highly uncertain, but in the short term the Russia-Ukraine conflict and related events could put inflation put additional upward pressure on inflation and weigh on economic activity. BlackRock-backed Candle Media has a Plan to Acquire NFT Startup Notables

BusinessInsider reported on 5 May that BlackRock-backed CandleMedia is to acquire NFT startup Notables, a select NFT marketplace that offers high-quality NFT programs to subscribers. The company is also currently an advisor to WME, UTA, and Hollywood entertainment company CAA. A spokesperson for BlackRock has declined to comment on the matter, and Notables has not yet provided information on the matter.
