BNB Chain: has suspended network operations and is investigating potential vulnerabilities

Oct. 7 (Bloomberg) — BNB Chain tweeted that it is currently under maintenance due to unusual activity, temporarily suspending all access to funds through BNB Chain until further updates are available. “We have suspended BNB Chain after identifying a potential vulnerability, all systems are now under control, we are investigating the potential vulnerability and we know the Community will assist and help freeze any transfers”. In another tweet, BNB Chain said that approximately $70 to $80 million in funds were withdrawn and $7 million has been frozen. The hack reportedly resulted in the theft of approximately $718 million worth of assets, including 2 million BNBs.
