Privacy-preserving Computation Network PlatON’s 2022 Annual Review

Looking back, 2022 was by no means a peaceful year.

Beneath the volatility and turmoil, there were challenges as well as opportunities.

Over the past year, PlatON remained dedicated to blockchain and kept advancing.

Tech Progress

During the past 12 months, PlaON rolled out a series of functions, including compatibility with Ethereum, the on-chain native generation of verifiable random numbers, ChainID switching, and delegated locking.

• PlatON V1.1.3: RPC and GraphQL now use the same port; the Ethereum reconstruction relating to the http-server was also updated.

• PlatON V1.2.0: Phase I of the ChainID switching proposal was implemented; built-in contracts are added to support the on-chain native generation of verifiable random numbers.

• PlatON V1.2.1: Failure to create contracts with the new ChainID was fixed; the default ChainID of the PlatON mainnet and Devnet has been switched to the new ChianID.

• PlatON V1.2.3: PlatON’s compatibility with Ethereum was optimized.

• PlatON V1.3.0: The delegated locking mechanism has been introduced; Phase II of the ChainID switching proposal was implemented.

• PlatON V1.3.1: We fixed errors such as zero block generation due to the existence of double-spending nodes among the consensus nodes.

• PlatON V1.3.2: PlatON’s compatibility with Ethereum was optimized, and we are now fully synced up with the network.

Meanwhile, we have kept working on the development of products and applications including mobile wallet ATON, PlatScan, Alaya, AlayaScan, hardware wallet Ledger, the privacy-preserving computation network, and the privacy-preserving computation AI platform. Right now, the privacy-preserving computation network supports the execution of computation tasks involving over 100,000 pieces of data.

Ecosystem Development

In 2022, PlaON went from zero to one and achieved ecosystem breakthroughs. We built ecosystem partnerships with over 50 distinguished business players and first-rate Web3 projects, covering fields that include blockchain infrastructure, GameFi, NFT, DeFi, DAO, crypto wallet, and mining pool. Today, PlatON features a full range of blockchain infrastructure, and we welcome more outstanding projects to team up with us and deliver win-win results.

Community Construction

In 2022, PlatON hosted 200+ online community events.

In 2022, PlatON will carry out a wealth of community activities, including PlatON Talk, Hackathon Plus, MasterClass of FutureChina Global Forum 2022, PrivacyIN Camp, Conversation with Crypto Big Shots, roundtable meetings, etc. We also attended the Singapore Digital Economy Forum 2022.
