Q1 ; Can you explain to us, what is PlatON?

A ; PlatON aims at serving as the infrastructure for privacy-preserving computation network and distributed economies. After years of researches and development, we haveve already been a top player in the global privacy-preserving computation field, and an infrastructure supporting massive data asset transaction with our years of experience in Finance, High-tech, AI, etc. Regarding privacy-preserving computation, we focus on providing the solutions for the industries that have strong demands on data sharing and collaboration computing.

Data is the new-generation production factor, and privacy-preserving computation will definitely be the core of infrastructure of the whole digital era in the near future. Blockchain, born to be a financial infrastructure, aims at facilitating the circulation of data assets. It is a super clearing house for cross-ID, cross-account, cross-institute and cross-industry, and a revolutionary governance model. PlatON will keep devoting itself to the core technologies and economic model of blockchain, and diving into the core applications for the super infrastructure based on privacy AI.


Q2 ; Can you share the strengths of PlatON that make PlatON stand out?

A ; Kai Yu:
I think our biggest strength is that we have a team with solid background in both academics and technologies. With years of experience in both finance and blockchain areas, we are bullish about the value and future of blockchain, and we are capable of making blockchain the infrastructure for the whole digital world in the near future.

Dr. Feng Xiao, PlatON Founder and Wanxiang Blockchain Chairman & Founder, is an advocate and the godfather in the Chinese blockchain industry, and also an early investor of Ethereum. Mr. Lilin Sun, Founder and CEO of PlatON, is a pioneer in Chinse Fin-tech field and also an advocate & sponsor of computational complexity theory such as ZKP, MPC, HE, algorithm game theory, etc. Mr. Xinjun Liang, PlatON Chief Advisor and Fosun Group Co-founder, is an economic leader in China.

Over the past four years, we keep investing on cryptography and have achievements on the leading technologies and engineering of cryptography.

Q3 ; Can you share PlatONs privacy-preserving computation and Privacy AI further?

A ; Kai Yu:
PlatON focuses on cryptography technologies and combines trusted hardware to implement privacy-preserving computation. PlatONs privacy-preserving computation architecture, from the bottom to top, consists of basic cryptography algorithms, blockchain, Privacy AI and privacy data platforms, for the purpose of delivering the deployable and operational products rather than technology itself. Cryptography is just a technology implementation.

We firstly applied Privacy-Preserving Computation on KMS (Key Management System) solutions for the management of digital assets, including the crypto wallets and trading among institutes. Later on, we focus on the development of Privacy-Preserving Computation combined with AI and big data, and have delivered solutions for worlds first-tier financial institutes.

PlatONs Privacy AI solution, powered by privacy-preserving computation technologies, can train and infer AI models without data disclosure, to utilize the data value maximally on top of ensuring the data privacy.


Q4 ; What phase are the roadmaps at? What is PlatON trying to solve for the development of the blockchain Industry? What are PlatONs current and future targets to be realized?

A ; Currently, we are close to the final stage of main net development, and focus on the drill and optimization of our new test net launched on Feb.20, 2020. PlatON aims at serving as the infrastructure for privacy-preserving computation network and distributed economies. After years of researches and development, we have already been a top player in the global privacy-preserving computation field, and an infrastructure supporting massive data asset transaction with our years of experience in Finance, High-tech, AI, etc. Regarding privacy-preserving computation, we focus on providing the solutions for the industries that have strong demands on data sharing and collaboration computing. For us, the prime targets are to announce our main net in Q3, 2020, and enhance our community. Just stay tuned for further updates.


Q5 ; As Head of Community, can you tell us what is the role that community plays in PlatON, and how do you plan on developing it?

A ; Kai Yu:
For PlatON team and even the whole PlatON ecosystem, community is vital for the development of blockchain projects, and a powerful community consensus will bring great support for the long-term value of projects.

We aim at developing PlatON as a flourish and well-received community, and appreciate the core members who have stayed with us since the very beginning of PlatON community and their contribution, thus, we have an ambassador plan to recruit the ones who are bullish about PlatON and want to be parts of PlatON. So far, we have selected the first ambassadors located in and will be responsible for the community growth in U.S., Korea, Indonesia, India, Vietnam, Philippines, Euro, Mainland China, etc. from the core community members. Besides, we are open to the collaborations on hosting different events and enhancing our community with all community partners worldwide, and planning to select the second batch of ambassadors from the reliable partners after the collaborations.

What is your strategy to attract more new users in the crypto world, is your platform suitable for beginners or advanced crypto users? And what is the ultimate goal of the PlatON Project?

A ; To provide a platform for those ones who are interested in privacy-preserving computation to showcase their talents and get familiar with PlatONs solutions, technologies, economic model, governance mechanis, etc. PlatON has kept launching diversified events. Btw, we have announced our global ambassador plan to recruit the ones who are bullish about PlatON and want to enhance PlatON community. So far, it works well, and it is really great to see that our community is getting stronger and stronger.

How does PlatON plan to solve the scalability problem? Currently it only has 7 TPS when there are projects with much larger numbers. Are you planning to work on it?

Kai Yu:
PlatON is a PoS-based public blockchain. As the infrastructure for privacy-preserving computation, security is the top priority, then comes the balance between scalability and centralization. PlatON applies VRF to add the randomness, uses BFT consensus and have punishment mechanism, all of them are for the absolute security. Apart from that, PlatON uses VRF to select the validators that participate in BFT consensus in wide range, and improve the efficiency of BFT consensus at the same time. That is the balance between centralization and scalability. According to the latest test reports, the average TPS is over 4000. Even when dealing with complicated smart contracts, the TPS can reach 2000.

follow @PlatON_Network ever since I heard it and I know you are doing many AMA in different groups in Telegram. So how did AMA helps your platform and what is the positive effects? What is the good result that it brings to you?

A ; As what I introduced before, in order to build a flourish and well-received community, we have done a lots of things including launching diversified events, announcing our global ambassador plan to recruit the ones who want to enhance PlatON community, and working with excellent communities to extend the global awareness and have PlatON popularized worldwide. Thats the reason why we do AMAs in different communities.

What kind of business or corporation is suitable for using platON technology?

A ; All industries that are sensitive about data privacy need privacy-preserving computation, which means all businesses that have demands on collaborative computing and privacy protection are suitable for using PlatONs solutions.

Q1 ; Why did you choose AMA to promote your own projects? Is this the best way to engage users? Can you list 1-3 most powerful features of #PlatON that make it stand out from the crowd?

A ; We noticed that the offline community events in both China and other areas around the world have reduced due to the outbreak of COVID-19. However, we see online events every day. Thus, AMA may be the best way to connect us currently. We have plans on improving our influence of course, but will stick to doing AMA in all excellent communities. Our major strength is our solid background and resource in Finance area, strong software engineering capacity, years of experience in privacy-preserving computation, and rich business resource.

Q2 ; Please explain more details about PlatON ecosystem and who are now using this & plans to attract users who do not know cryptocurrency?

A ; According to our roadmap, after the announcement of our main net, we will push the construction of our ecosystem and improve the awareness of PlatON via:

1. Facilitate the ecosystem construction based on our Grants program, including the development of DApp and DeFi;
2. Push the business development, connect with different collaborations regarding blockchain, and enhance the collaborations with nodes, wallets, and exchanges;
3. Deepen the construction of branding and ecosystem, and the partnership with medias and communities, continue different marketing campaigns to improve the influence of PlatON worldwide.

Q3 ; DeFi and Dapps are two pillars primed to rule cryptocurrencies, whatPlatON strategy to DeFi and Dapps?

A ; We noticed that DeFi is hot, and it actually fits our strategy to build PlatON as a financial infrastructure. Thus, DeFI will be one of our key business. Plus, based on PPoS consensus, PlatON has high TPS yet low gas price, which is suitable for connect DeFi programs to PlatON ecosystem. We will announce more plans for DeFi to fully leverage PlatONs strengths as the financial infrastructure. As for DApp, we think its still in the early stage, and its development needs the development of underlying technologies and killer apps, and we are ready for that with related strategies on both technology and ecosystem. Also, we think blockchain game would lead the development of DApp.

Q4 ; Explain, how secure is the PlatOn system? Why do I have to join this platform? Thanks

A ; Security is the top priority all the time, and we have done intensive tests and verifications on underlying architecture, P2P security, RPC security, account model, virtual machine, consensus security, etc. Besides, our strategic partner on security SlowMist has completed two rounds of security audits, and according to the audit reports, PlatON has ensured its absolute security with high-quality code.

Q5 ; I am an experienced developer with knowledge of solidity, Java, C, KSML. Can I build dApps on PlatOn, how easy is it to build DApps and what is the incentive for me to switch to PlatOn platform for Dapps

A ; You are sincerely welcomed to develop DApp on PlatON. PlatON supports both EVM and WASM smart contracts that support C++ programming language, Solidity programming language, respectively. Thus, the DApps developed with the same programming language can be easily released on PlatON after few modifications.
