Mr.Kai Yu: Previous to join PlatON in 2018, I’ve been devoted myself to the publishing and operation of game for two decades.

Hi guys, Beatrix from PlatON. I’m responsible for the global operation and community of PlatON. I entered into the crypto world in 2017, and my career in crypto world started from exchange. - Can you explain to us, what is PlatON?
Mr.Kai Yu: PlatON aims at serving as the infrastructure for privacy-preserving computation network and distributed economies. After years of researches and development, we’ve already been a top player in the global privacy-preserving computation field, and an infrastructure supporting massive data asset transaction with our years of experience in Finance, High-tech, AI, etc.
Regarding privacy-preserving computation, we focus on providing the solutions for the industries that have strong demands on data sharing and collaboration computing.
Data is the new-generation production factor, and privacy-preserving computation will definitely be the core of infrastructure of the whole digital era in the near future.
Blockchain, born to be a financial infrastructure, aims at facilitating the circulation of data assets. It is a super clearing house for cross-ID, cross-account, cross-institute and cross-industry, and a revolutionary governance model.
PlatON will keep devoting itself to the core technologies and economic model of blockchain, and diving into the core applications for the super infrastructure based on privacy AI.

- Can you share the strengths of PlatON that make PlatON stand out?
Mr.Kai Yu: Dr. Feng Xiao, PlatON Founder and Wanxiang Blockchain Chairman & Founder, is an advocate and the godfather in the Chinese blockchain industry, and also an early investor of Ethereum. Mr. Lilin Sun, Founder and CEO of PlatON, is a pioneer in Chinse Fin-tech field and also an advocate & sponsor of computational complexity theory such as ZKP, MPC, HE, algorithm game theory, etc. Mr. Xinjun Liang, PlatON Chief Advisor and Fosun Group Co-founder, is an economic leader in China.
Over the past four years, we keep investing on cryptography and have achievements on the leading technologies and engineering of cryptography.

- Can you share PlatON’s privacy-preserving computation and Privacy AI further?
Mr.Kai Yu: PlatON focuses on cryptography technologies and combines trusted hardware to implement privacy-preserving computation. PlatON’s privacy-preserving computation architecture, from the bottom to top, consists of basic cryptography algorithms, blockchain, Privacy AI and privacy data platforms, for the purpose of delivering the deployable and operational products rather than technology itself. Cryptography is just a technology implementation.
We firstly applied Privacy-Preserving Computation on KMS (Key Management System) solutions for the management of digital assets, including the crypto wallets and trading among institutes. Later on, we focus on the development of Privacy-Preserving Computation combined with AI and big data, and have delivered solutions for world’s first-tier financial institutes.
PlatON’s Privacy AI solution, powered by privacy-preserving computation technologies, can train and infer AI models without data disclosure, to utilize the data value maximally on top of ensuring the data privacy.
- What phase are the roadmaps at? What is PlatON trying to solve for the development of the blockchain Industry? What are PlatON’s current and future targets to be realized?
Mr.Kai Yu: Currently, we are close to the final stage of main net development, and focus on the drill and optimization of our new test net launched on Feb.20, 2020.

Regarding privacy-preserving computation, we focus on providing the solutions for the industries that have strong demands on data sharing and collaboration computing.
For us, the prime targets are to announce our main net in Q3, 2020, and enhance our community. Just stay tuned for further updates.
- As Head of Community, can you tell us what’s the role that community plays in PlatON, and how do you plan on developing it?
Mr.Kai Yu: For PlatON team and even the whole PlatON ecosystem, community is vital for the development of blockchain projects, and a powerful community consensus will bring great support for the long-term value of projects.
We aim at developing PlatON as a flourish and well-received community, and appreciate the core members who have stayed with us since the very beginning of PlatON community and their contribution, thus, we have an ambassador plan to recruit the ones who are bullish about PlatON and want to be parts of PlatON.
So far, we’ve selected the first ambassadors located in and will be responsible for the community growth in U.S., Korea, Indonesia, India, Vietnam, Philippines, Euro, Mainland China, etc. from the core community members.
Besides, we are open to the collaborations on hosting different events and enhancing our community with all community partners worldwide, and planning to select the second batch of ambassadors from the reliable partners after the collaborations.

It seems that Platon’s Whitepaper and Bluebook is written into Chinese language. Do you have any English version for this document of Platon? Can you briefly summarize some important content in your Whitepaper? Thank you
Mr.Kai Yu: We have English whitepaper and blue paper, here are the links:
The whitepaper introduces the tech architect, network architect and computing framework, etc. in phase 1, and services and application implementations as well. The blue paper introduces the economic design principles of public blockchain, economy design of PlatON and the effects it has in governance mechanism.

PlatON Whitepaper is very technicall and Basically reflect its capacities to do everything by itself, but What is the role of the PlatON community? How normal users like us can participate into PlatON ecosystem?
Mr.Kai Yu: As a public blockchain project, PlatON can’t grow well without the support and contributions from community.
Normal users can participate in our community campaigns like the AMA today, testing campaigns, or acting as an ambassador to contribute on the development of PlatON ecosystem.

Xi Jingping and the Chinese government have shown interest in studying Blockchain technology and expanding in the sector, how aligned is PlatON with the interests of Chinese society and the Chinese market in innovating this sector ?
Mr.Kai Yu: Since 2020, China has proposed several future-oriented ambitious development programs. And among them, for example, blockchain technology has been an important part of New Infrastructure Construction in 2020, the development of Industrial blockchain will get accelerated, the related policies for data element market, etc. all provide the chances for the applications of privacy-preserving computation, and the development chances for tech programs like PlatON.
As an infrastructure for privacy-preserving computation and distributed economies, PlatON’s two core technologies: privacy-preserving computation and blockchain, will be nurtured under such important favorable policies.

Do you plan to build partnerships with local cryptocurrency developers and local project in each country to make the use of platon network more global?
Mr.Kai Yu: Yes, we do. And it’s also a prime target of our Grants program.We are working on forming partnerships with cryptography scholars and developers worldwide to optimize and improve PlatON with the joint effort of community ecosystem, and facilitate the popularization of PlatON in China and other areas around the world.

As the tagline of Platon goes “Everything can be Calculated”. Could you please explain more about this in a simplier way? Why do you choose mathematical word in your tagline?
Mr.Kai Yu: PlatON aims to serve as the “computing factory” and “service marketplace” of the whole digital era in the near future.
It is the complete service-based computing architect, and provides the distributed network frameworks, service frameworks and ecological system based on data circulation, and the complete computing, storage and communication capabilities. It provides the services including computing power, algorithms, data, etc. That’s the reason why we say, with PlatON, let’s compute.

Do you have local communities for the them to let them better understand about your project?
Mr.Kai Yu: We promote PlatON worldwide through: 1. collaborate with different crypto communities to host diversified campaigns, 2. find and work with ambassadors worldwide to extend the awareness and recognition in their local countries.

In your opinion, what are the biggest differences and advantages PLATON brings when compared to others?
Mr.Kai Yu: PlatON is not only a blockchain project, but also an infrastructure that leverages the powerful combination of blockchain and privacy-preserving computation for the legal data circulation. The global digitalization is coming, while the solution provides will become more and more important.

Mr.Kai Yu: According to the economic model of PlatON, there will be 2.5% additional issuing each year with 2% for the rewards of validators, and 0.5% for the long-term ecosystem construction and community development.
