PlatDot, a cross-chain bridge project promoted by the LatticeX Foundation Grants program, has made new progress.
Committed to providing a cross-chain bridge for PlatON and PolkaDot, PlatDot enables the interconnection between the privacy-preserving AI network PlatON and PolkaDot with advanced cross-chain technology, thereby breaking the islanding effect, achieving cross-chain complementarity, and sharing ecological prosperity.
After the previous all-around strategic cooperation between PlatON and ChainX and PolkaWorld to jointly promote the PlatDot project and realize the blueprint of a sound and stable PlatON ecosystem, when PlatDot completes its first phase of development today, its cross-chain ecosystem has embraced HashQuark, a leading infrastructure service provider, and ComingChat, an encrypted messaging app with digital asset transfer function, complementing each other’s advantages and building synergy. In the future, the PlatON, HashQuark, ChainX, Polkaworld, and ComingChat will work together to explore the integrated innovation of the PlatON ecosystem and the Polkadot ecological applications and promote network interaction for the blockchain mission of value and information sharing.
Since its launch, PlatDot has completed its first phase of development and been deployed on the Alaya network and the PlatON network thanks to the joint effort. Next, PlatDot will be launched in several versions. At present, PlatDot supports substrate-based chains and EVM-based chains, and will support more cross-chain assets in the days to come. It consists of a cross-chain asset alliance managed by distributed control rights and a cross-chain bridge smart contract, and supports various functions such as cross-chain asset issuance, cross-chain asset use and redemption, making for an innovative, safe and decentralized cross-chain solution.
With the concerted work of multi-signature witnesses of PlatON, HashQuark, ChainX, Polkaworld and ComingChat, PlatDot has successfully completed the deployment of cross-chain contracts and multi-signature witnesses for Alaya/Kusama and PlatON/Polkadot. Notably, the joint control of the multi-signature address by the cross-chain asset alliance has made PlatDot secure and compatible enough to provide its users with a smooth product experience.
The focus of PlatDot for the next stage lies in further R&D to deliver a fully decentralized model that effectively integrates the ecological demand of PlatON and Polkadot. In this way, it will reshape the asset transaction and circulation and value conversion between ecosystems, improve cross-chain information interaction as well as asset trading efficiency and security, and offer users the best one-click cross-chain solution as part of its contribution to the development of the digital economy.
