[Guest Profile] Ceridwen Choo, CEO of DCS Innov, to Attend Web3 Payment Re-imagined

Ceridwen Choo, CEO of DCS Innov, has confirmed that she will attend the “Web3 Payment Re-imagined” themed forum, co-hosted by Wanxiang Blockchain Labs, HashKey Group, and PlatON, on the afternoon of April 7, 2024.

Ceridwen is a seasoned veteran in the cards and payments industry, boasting nearly two decades of invaluable experience in the corporate realm. Recruited as part of the new leadership team at DCS Card Centre (DCS) to lead payment innovation and its entire rebranding, Ceridwen now provides the strategic direction for DCS Innov, a new business arm set up by DCS to foster business innovation and co-create new payment solutions  that aim to integrate seamlessly across different facets of the payment ecosystem.

In just over a year in her role as Managing Director of Payments & Innovation, Ceridwen and her team have supported the overall  business transformation of DCS Card Centre by introducing innovative product features enabling it to expand into new payment frontiers. This includes creating the strategic direction of #cardyourassets which allows DCS cardholders to increase their card spend limits with assets via bank transfers and the conversion of digital assets such as USDC, USDT, BTC and ETH. Additionally, she also led the launch of DCS Tokens, the first payment token pegged to an equivalent value in USD and SGD that is launched by a financial institution in Singapore.  

The depth and breadth of her more than 20 years’ of payments experience that spans across traditional banking finance, global payment networks and fintech, fuels her ability to briskly grasp the essence of revolutionising today’s payment systems to meet the payment trends and requirements of tomorrow.

Prior to DCS, Ceridwen’s illustrious career has seen her at the helm of leadership positions in esteemed institutions such as DBS, HSBC, and Mastercard. Notably, she spearheaded MasterCard’s consumer payments business in Southeast Asia before taking charge of the Credit Cards portfolio for the entire APAC region. Ceridwen also played a pivotal role as part of the APAC founding team for Railsbank, a pioneering UK-based Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS) fintech.
