[Guest Profile] Emil Chan, Co-Chair of the Hong Kong Digital Finance Association, to Attend Web3 Payment Re-imagined

Emil Chan, Co-Chair of the Hong Kong Digital Finance Association, has confirmed that he will attend the “Web3 Payment Re-imagined” themed forum, co-hosted by Wanxiang Blockchain Labs, HashKey Group, and PlatON, on the afternoon of April 7, 2024.

Emil Chan is a FinTech evangelist, digital transformation consultant, startup mentor, EMBA adjunct professor, and columnist with extensive experience in cross-border financial system design and operations, ranging from the banking industry to emerging Web3 and DeFi business strategies.

In recent years, he has been dedicated to building a solid nurturing environment for the next-generation FinTech ecosystem in the Greater Bay Area. In addition to advising corporations and SMEs, he serves as a startup mentor and advisory board member of the Cyberport Startup Committee. He has also been a visiting professor, lecturer, and guest speaker at renowned universities such as CityU, HKU, PolyU, HKUST, HKBU, CUHK, and VTC for over 10 years.

Emil is also actively involved in building the region’s digital ecosystem. He holds various positions such as Founding Chairman of the Cloud and Mobile Computing Professionals Association, Co-Chair of the Hong Kong Digital Finance Association, Vice Chairman of Hong Kong FinTech Industry Association, Chairman of the FinTech Committee of the Smart City Consortium, Honorary Secretary of Invotech, Vice President of the Hong Kong New Emerging Technology Education Association, and more.
