On Feb.29. 2020, PlatON started its first community council, an online AMA for all community members, offering a chance for all PlatON community members and supporters to get closer to PlatON Network, and collaborate for governance. The first community council lasted for around 2 hours, and there are around 100 PlatON enthusiasts attended. The Head of PlatON Community Mr. Kai Yu and Head of PlatON Tech Community Mr. Zhijing Fu shared the latest development of PlatON, plans of PlatON main net, advantages, governance model, further plans, etc. And surprisingly, PlatON founder and CEO Mr. Lilin Sun, founder of Hellopool Mr. Cen Zi, founder of Wetez Mr. Kamie, and founder of PlatON Fans Mr. Hao Zheng, have joined the community council as the special guests.
Zoom — A Platform for Communicating Equally
The reason why PlatON chose Zoom as the platform to start the first community council is that, compared to doing a regular report for community members, we prefer to hold a conversion, and host a meeting to share all developments of PlatON and in-depth view concerning blockchain industry with all PlatON fellows. Zoom meeting offers a platform for communicating equally.
Get Closer to PlatON Network
PlatON is a public blockchain features privacy-preserving computation and it’s leading position in cryptography worldwide. It’s meant to be an infrastructure for the distributed economies and provides the solutions for all institutes and industries that are sensitive about data privacy. It aims at serving as the Visa or China UnionPay in the whole blockchain industry.
“PlatON is the operator of data, PlatON knows cryptography most among blockchain firms, and PlatON is the savviest expert in business practice” Mr. Yu emphasized.
Hosting the PlatON Galaxy Rally in an Open and Transparent Environment
It’s the first time for PlatON to host such a large testing program at the special time when the new Baleyworld test net is launched. “We appreciate the understanding and encouragement from all community members when bugs and issues occurred during the Galaxy Rally. And we are working on being a secure and high-performing computing network by keeping improving ourselves.” Mr. Zhijing Fu added after made a complete explanation for the block producing error occurred on Feb.22 and shared the latest updates about it.
The Galaxy Rally, hosted in an open and transparent environment, facilitates the engagement between PlatON and all community members. We will host further campaigns, to test and guarantee the security and scalability of PlatON network, and incentive all the contributors as well.
PlatON Introduced Its Grants Program in the First Community Council
Mr. Yu officially introduced the forthcoming Grants program, a funding program for incubating the promising projects that will be parts of PlatON ecosystem, in the first community council. Grants encourages the projects including but not limited to the researches on basic technology features, projects relevant to scalability, privacy-preserving computation, testing, security, cryptography, education, community and supported tools, improvement for PlatON, part-time developers.

PlatON WASM Contract will Go Live and Be Applied in the New Baleworld Test Net in March
The new PlatON Baleyworld test net launched in Feb.20, 2020 has supported EVM contract, and will be upgraded with WSAM contract supported in Mar, 2020. Currently, PlatON is the in the final stage of testing. A full-featured and stable test net is prioritized by PlatON main net. And PlatON wishes all community members could participate in the testing after the upgraded PlatON Baleyworld is officially launched.
