[Event] Incentives for PlatON’s Governance Upgrade to Version 1.2.0

Dear nodes,

From 3:00, April 6, 2022 to 10:00, April 15, 2022 (UTC), the PlatON mainnet will go through a governance upgrade to version 1.2.0. The new version will feature double ChainIDs and on-chain random numbers to provide a more well-rounded infrastructure and create a more enabling environment for project development in the PlatON ecosystem.

To appreciate the nodes’ continued support, the PlatON ecosystem has decided to reward nodes actively involved in the governance upgrade. The details are shown as below:

Participation qualifications: Nodes created before 16:00 on April 5, 2022 (UTC) and still running

Event time: 3:00 on April 6, 2022 – 10:00 on April 15, 2022 (UTC) (during the governance period of the PIP-9 proposal)

Total incentive: 500,000 LAT. If the final incentive exceeds the budget, 450,000 LAT will go to the voting incentive pool and 50,000 LAT to the version statement incentive pool, shared by nodes proportionally.

Rules:

• The earlier a node votes on the governance proposal, the more rewards it will get:
  • Nodes voting between 3:00 on April 6 and 16:00 on April 8 (UTC) will receive 2,000 LAT;
  • Nodes voting between 16:00 on April 8 and 16:00 on April 12 (UTC) will receive 1,500 LAT;
  • Nodes voting between 16:00 on April 12 and 10:00 on April 15 (UTC) will receive 1,000 LAT;
• Nodes without voting rights but having upgraded to the PlatON version 1.2.0 and issued a version statement before 10:00 on April 15, 2022 (UTC) will receive an ecosystem incentive of 1,000 LAT.

Reward distribution: Votes on the governance proposal will be calculated after the governance is over, and rewards will then be distributed to the node’s income address according to the results.

PlatON主网计划于2022年4月6日11点-2022年4月15日18点开启治理升级1.2.0版本，此版本增加了双ChainID与链上随机数的功能，旨在提供更加完善的基础设施，并为生态项目开发提供更好的支持。

为了答谢节点伙伴既往对我们的支持，生态特别划拨预算用于激励本次积极参与治理的节点，激励详情如下：

参与资格：创建时间在2022年4月5日24点之前，并在运行中的节点
活动时间：2022年4月6日11点-2022年4月15日18点（PIP-9提案治理期间）
激励总额：500,000 LAT，若激励总额超过预算，则按照投票激励池450,000 LAT，版本声明激励池50,000 LAT划分，按照比例瓜分激励。
活动规则：

• 在治理提案中投票，越早参与投票获得的奖励越高：
  • 4月6日11点-4月8日24点之间投票的节点，生态激励2000 LAT；
  • 4月9日0点-4月12日24点之间投票的节点，生态激励1500 LAT；
  • 4月13日0点-4月15日18点之间投票的节点，生态激励1000 LAT；
• 没有投票权，但在2022年4月15日18点前完成PlatON 1.2.0版本升级与版本声明操作的节点，生态激励1000 LAT。

奖励发放：治理结束后，开始统计治理提案的投票数据，根据统计结果将奖励发放至节点的收益地址。
