Coinbase Receives Singapore Digital Asset License

Oct. 11 (Bloomberg) — Cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase Global Inc. has been granted a digital asset license in Singapore despite increased regulation by Singaporean regulators following the explosion of cryptocurrency companies such as Three Arrows Capital. Coinbase said Tuesday that the Monetary Authority of Singapore has granted Coinbase Singapore approval in principle to offer regulated crypto services there under the Payment Services Act. About 15 companies have received such licenses since Singapore launched its licensing regime in 2019, including Coinbase rival Crypto.com.(Bloomberg)
