PlatON Monthly Report: April 2023

01-Technological Progress

PlatON

(1) PlatON 1.4.0: The version is adapted to eip155 transactions and supports Mapo light client protocol and unprotected transactions; the mainnet upgrade has been completed.

(2) PlatON 1.4.1: EVM adaptation has been completed to support Ethereum’s London upgrade; the version supports eip1559/2930; the relevant PlatON modules are being restructured.

PlatON Wallet

Based on plug-in wallets provided by apps on the PlatON network, PlatON Wallet has achieved the deposit, withdrawal, and transfer of assets; we are currently discussing the optimization of the product prototype.

PlatON App Chain

PlatON App Chain: We are discussing with HashKey for cooperation regarding the sidechain proposal and will carry out bottom-layer improvements according to the needs of HSK-Chain; demands concerning tokenomics are still under discussion.

BonusPay

(1) BonusPay Phase One: BonusPay now supports merchant access and crypto management; following development and testing, the application has gone live.

(2) BonusPay Phase One (improvement and supplement): Added the cashier function; optimized certain modules of the merchant management platform; the new/adjusted functions are under development and joint debugging.

(3) Multisig Contract-Wallet (eip4337): Multisig Contract-Wallet is a multi-signature contract wallet with EIP-4337 (abstract account) function; the functions and SDK interface of the wallet have been developed, with self-testing and joint debugging underway.

DCS

The basic functions of DCS have been developed; the joint debugging of the main process functions has been completed; DCS is currently in the self-testing and optimization stage.

[Hong Kong Web3 Festival 2023 Sub-forum Global Payment in Web3 Kicks Off]

Global Payment in Web3, a sub-forum of the Hong Kong Web3 Festival 2023 co-hosted by Wanxiang Blockchain Labs, HashKey Group, and PlatON, has kicked off in Hong Kong on April 13. The event has invited big-name guests from around the world to explore whether new payment standards based on blockchain ledgers and Payment Tokens will transform our definition of “money”.

[Building VISA in Web3: TOPOS, a Web3.0 Encrypted Payment and Clearing System Built on PlatON, Is Officially Released]

As an open payment and clearing operating system based on blockchain technology, TOPOS adheres to the OPEN LOOP multi-party architecture. With its core payment function based on Tokenized Money, the system aims to allow users to mint “money” and transfer value in a controlled and secure manner in Web3. Anyone can utilize the blockchain capabilities provided by TOPOS to assemble the final payment services within this ecosystem. Merchants and users can hold Web3 assets without the need for a custodian, relying instead on acquirers, wallet institutions, and developers of Tokenized Money payment scenario standards to complete payments and exchange value.

TOPOS will consistently draw global developers, card issuers, acquirers, wallets, and other third-party specialized service institutions into the construction of a multilateral payment and clearing architecture based on multi-party consensus under the global regulatory compliance framework.

[PlatON Project NiftyIN Attends the Digital Economy Summit 2023]

On April 14, 2023, some winning teams of the Web3 Global Startup Contest HAPathon 2023 were invited to the Digital Economy Summit (DES) hosted by the Hong Kong Government and Cyberport to discuss solutions to the theme topic – “Emerging with Resilience: Fostering a Smarter Future”. As the winner of the Singapore division, NiftyIN, a PlatON-based project, also attended the DES and explored ways to empower Hong Kong’s Web3 development during the roundtable forum.
