On Jul.24, 2019, MatPool officially became PlatON’s latest consensus node, and an important part of Baleyworld ecosystem, follows HashQuark, PlatON Pacific, Wanxiang Blockchain, IRISnet, gf.network, SNZ Holding, Tushare, MEET.ONE and Aitos.
MatPooL is the whole new staking and mining services platform founded by 8BTC in addition to ChainNode and Timestamp Capital, with former Facebook engineer Jin Lei as the project leader and CTO; Li Zhongcheng, partner of 8BTC, as COO. MatPool adheres to ‘Combine computing, consensus, and value’, and is dedicated to building a ‘remarkable blockchain computing and super-node service platform’ to serve participants in various consensus mechanisms of public blockchains, and providing a stable, secure and open operating environment.
PlatON applies the PPoS (PlatON Pos) consensus algorithm that consists of three stages: a node becomes a validator; VRF is used to choose a consensus node from the validator nodes; the consensus nodes then taking turns to produce blocks and running the CBFT. After voting, MatPool stands out to become the latest consensus node of PlatON Baleyworld, and be responsible for executing the transactions, and packing the transaction data into blocks. Thus, other nodes in PlatON Baleyworld will only need to verify the legitimacy of new producing blocks, which will greatly shorten the verification time, and in turn increasing the performance and efficiency of the transaction.
Since its release of Baleywold on Dec.18, 2018, PlatON, by using Homomorphic Encryption (HE) and secure Multi-party Computation (MPC), has become the world’s first blockchain computing network to support privacy computing. MatPool, with its sophisticated technologies and rich resources of capital, will help promote the development of PlatON community, complete the ecosystem of Baleyworld and ensure the stability and security of blockchain.
